北海道生まれ。
地元札幌にて、ジミ・ヘンドリクスのトリビュートバンド「KIYA-HEN」を結成し、地元ライブハウスの動員記録を塗り替え、地元札幌にその名前を刻むことに成る。種々のアマチュア活動を経て、2005年にヘヴィーメタルバンド「Maverick」にギタリストとして加入。レコーディングや香港・ドイツ等の海外ツアーへと帆走するが、病気のためリタイヤ。
数ヶ月の入院生活と半年以上に渡る療養生活を経て、復帰後は地元札幌の音楽シーンへの貢献として後進の指導や、アイドルグループへの楽曲提供等、活動範囲を徐々に拡大。また、札幌が産んだスーパーシンガーの「福原美穂」のサポートを初め、来道する内外著名ミュージシャンのサポートや共演も多数。同時に、自身のバンド「Phantom of sorrow」を立ち上げ、専門誌の取材を受け、関東・関西のライブハウスでも話題となる。
現在は、全国でも珍しい完全フリージャムセッション「既存の曲はやらないぜ！」を主催し、4年以上も盛況のまま継続させ、地元新聞やFMラジオ等でも取り上げられ、冠番組のネット配信や、司会、コメンテーター、執筆等、音楽以外でも活動の幅を広げている。
2021年8月2日没（56歳）
